I founded A Soft Place to Land in 2021 because I wanted to create a space where you can feel taken care of and respected in what you want your journey in healing your relationship with food and your body looks like. As a weight-inclusive Registered Dietitian and Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor, I specialize in working with clients 12yo+ with disordered eating and eating disorders. I also have a special place in my heart for working with clients who have endometriosis and PCOS. As an endo-warrior myself, I know firsthand how support is crucial for navigating this debilitating condition.
I earned my B.S. in Food & Nutrition Science from The University of Vermont (Go Catamounts!), where the VT mountains and Lake Champlain left an indelible mark on my soul. I then completed my Master's Degree in Community Nutrition and my Dietetic Internship at West Chester University of PA.
My counseling approach emphasizes somatic healing, focusing on tending to your nervous system, and recognizing bodily sensations associated with emotions. I believe in the power of tuning into our body's cues as a pathway to healing when it feels safe.
I am deeply passionate about the intersection of eating disorders and social justice. Recognizing that eating disorders are inherently political, I am committed to addressing the systemic inequities that contribute to their development and persistence. I recognize that recovering in a world that I advocate fiercely for ethical, equitable, and trauma-informed care for every BODY, understanding that marginalized communities often face additional barriers in accessing treatment.
Despite the gravity of this work, I find profound fulfillment in it. I am on a mission to be a vocal advocate for ethical, inclusive care. I firmly believe that health is not one-size-fits-all. My goal in working with clients is to provide a safe space grounded in compassion, weight inclusivity, and social justice principles.
I strive to challenge the status quo in eating disorder treatment, working towards a world where everyone, regardless of their background, size, or socioeconomic status, has access to affirming, culturally competent care. Through this lens, I aim to contribute to a more just and equitable approach to healing and recovery.
