Meet Elizabeth Detweiler, MHSc, RDN, LDN

registered dietitian

Hi! I'm Elizabeth

Elizabeth accepts in person and virtual clients.

As a weight-inclusive Registered Dietitian, I am passionate about helping individuals heal and strengthen their relationship with food and their bodies. I strive to provide equitable, identity-affirming care in a safe, comfortable, open, and judgment-free environment where clients feel supported and respected.

I believe in honoring each person's unique life experiences, background, identity, and values. As an eating disorder dietitian, I strongly align with a non-diet, weight-inclusive, and Health at Every Size® (HAES®) approach to care. My goal is to help clients move away from food rules and self-judgment, reconnect with their body's needs, and find joy in eating again. Together, we will work toward healing your relationship with food, your body, and yourself.

You are more than your body or a number on a scale. You deserve care that is rooted in compassion, respect, empathy, and understanding, and I am honored to support you every step of the way.

My Approach

I believe in honoring each person's unique life experiences, background, identity, and values. As an eating disorder dietitian, I strongly align with a non-diet, weight-inclusive, and Health at Every Size® (HAES®) approach to care. My goal is to help clients move away from food rules and self-judgment, reconnect with their body's needs, and find joy in eating again. Together, we will work toward healing your relationship with food, your body, and yourself.

Healing your relationship with food and your body can feel scary and overwhelming at times, and that's okay. I strive to create a space where you feel safe, supported, and seen as a whole person. My goal is to provide compassionate, inclusive care and to walk alongside you throughout your journey toward healing.

I believe nutrition counseling should be individualized to your unique life, experiences, values, and goals. Together, we will explore how societal expectations, diet culture, and external pressures may have shaped your relationship with food and your body. By increasing awareness of these influences, we can begin to separate those messages from your own values and needs.

Let's have some fun

elizabeth's fun facts

  • I danced competitively for 18 years. Jazz was my favorite!
  • I am obsessed with baking for my friends and family. Cookies and cakes are my go to.
  • I was adopted from China! Being adopted has greatly shaped my identity and how I view family and connection. Although I was raised in a Western Caucasian household, my parents encouraged me to stay connected to my Chinese culture, which I’ve continued to explore as an adult. I also keep in touch with many of the girls from my adoption group.
  • My favorite sports team are the Phillies. I even have two dogs named after the players, Halli and JT.
  • I’m a big reader! I love reading romantasy books. Or you can find me unwinding with adult coloring books.
